CoQIS- Your Quality Improvement Companion

Clients enrolled in the self-evaluation quality improvement and accreditation programme are supported by the web-based quality information system, CoQIS. Your facility team can capture data related to the standards and quality improvement activities. CoQIS provides access to the standard compliance scores and enables your personnel to monitor on-going quality improvement programmes in all departments and services.

This allows your facility team to monitor their progress in the programme and to compare the progress between departments. CoQIS assists your team to develop a detailed work plan. This enables them to address identified deficiencies, starting with the most serious that have the greatest impact on patient safety and legal aspects. In this way, your facility team is assisted to meet the professional multi-disciplinary standards and implement continuous quality improvements en route to achieving and maintaining accreditation.

CoQIS generates several reports that record progress towards achieving compliance with the standards. The reports can be generated quickly and have both text and graphs. These can be shared easily with team members and displayed to keep everyone up to date with the progress being made and show areas that need more attention. The information enables management and leaders to identify strengths and weaknesses and to make informed decisions about the interventions required to ensure that the facility is safe, effective and efficient and that it provides quality services to its clients.
