Jacqui Stewart, COHSASA CEO, holds an MPS in Health from Middlesex University. A registered nurse with UK and SA experience, she became CEO in 2016 after joining in 2005 as Chief Operations Manager. An ISQua Expert, she's a member of the International Academy of Quality and Safety in Health Care and serves on the ISQua EEA Accreditation Council. She received ISQua Life Membership in 2024.

Marilyn Keegan studied for a BSc nursing degree at WITS and has a BA in Communications and a BA Hons in English literature.  She was the health reporter for the Rand Daily Mail. As an award-winning journalist, she has a wide knowledge and understanding of media and been a senior writer for national newspapers and magazines in South Africa. Marilyn is responsible for corporate communications.

Dr. Giel van Schalkwyk, COHSASA's Chief Surveyor for over 20 years, manages and conducts healthcare facility surveys, develops surveyor training, and contributes to accreditation standards. A medical doctor with an MMed, he transitioned into healthcare administration in 1991.

Dr. Leonard Londa joined COHSASA in 2019, leading the Quality Improvement Unit. He obtained his medical degree in DRC in 2008. Prior to COHSASA, he served as a Medical Officer in Lesotho and later as a program manager and master trainer for JHPIEGO.

Sharon Wilson, COHSASA's Administration and Support Lead, began as a diagnostic radiographer before moving into financial and IT management. With extensive experience as a senior bookkeeper, she holds qualifications in accounting, bookkeeping, payroll tax, and business systems analysis.

Mtisunge Chiotha leads COHSASA's ICT unit, overseeing informatics, knowledge management, data, and helpdesk support. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Computing and Information Technology and joined COHSASA in 2010 after working as an Applications Support Engineer.
