AFTER an illustrious career as a global player in the field of improving the quality and safety of health, Professor Stuart Whittaker, founder and CEO of COHSASA for the past 20 years, will be retiring at the end of January 2015.

In a message issued to staff and stakeholders, Chairman of COHSASA, Professor Erwin Schwella said:

“Professor Whitaker has indicated his sincere appreciation towards all of us, who over the years have contributed under his extremely competent leadership to the success of COHSASA. He is now at a point where some other and related opportunities have come up to serve quality in health and he wishes to pursue these opportunities. We wish him well in this regard.

The Board and Management will continue to build and sustain COHSASA as a significant African and global force in health quality”.

Deputy CEO, Ms Jacqui Stewart, has been appointed by the Chairman as the acting CEO.
